Call for Papers

Post-graduate and research students of Linguistics in India and abroad are invited to submit their abstracts in the following areas but not limited to these:


Syntax
Semantics and Pragmatics
Phonology
Morphology
Discourse Analysis
Semiotics
Indian Grammatical Theory
Historical Linguistics
Translation and Applied Linguistics
Sociolinguistics
Typology
Computational Linguistics
General Linguistics


 

Abstract submission:

Only abstracts submitted via e-mail will be considered. Please send your abstracts written in English to <sconli4.mumbai@gmail.com>.
The abstract submitted for review should contain original, unpublished research. Each participant may submit only one abstract for a single author paper and one for a joint paper.
The abstract should extend at most to two A4 size pages, including the data and a short list of references, using 12pt single spaced Times New Roman font. It should be submitted via e-mail in both doc and PDF formats. Only abstracts submitted in BOTH formats will be entertained. The subject line of the e-mail containing the abstracts should say ‘Abstract for SCONLI 4’. Please send the properly filled registration form along with the abstract.

Important Dates:

Last date of abstract submission: 15th November 2009
Acceptance of the abstracts will be communicated by: 15th December 2009
Last date of submission of full paper and handouts/powerpoint presentations: 10th February 2010.

Registration Fees:

The registration fees for the students will be Rs. 200/- each.  The registration procedure may be completed on arriving at the Conference venue.
